A dedicated paralegal in the commercial litigation team, Kushla Juggeewon is currently requalifying as a NSW lawyer, and expects to be admitted to the NSW Supreme Court as a solicitor in 2021. Having completed a Masters of Business Law at the University of Sydney with a distinction average in 2019, Kushla brings to the firm a wealth of international experience in various areas of law, including commercial, corporate, insolvency, and construction disputes.

Prior to joining the firm, Kushla worked for several years as a barrister at Dentons Mauritius (formerly Balgobin Chambers), interned at DLA Piper Africa  (Jurist consult Chambers Mauritius), and has completed her pupillage at St James Court Chambers (in Mauritius) following the bar professional training course at City University in London. Admitted to the bar in Mauritius, she was called at the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn in England, and has volunteered as an adviser at the Citizen Advice Bureau in England.

Kushla has conducted cases both in Mauritius and in London, at all court levels including appearance as Junior Counsel before the Judicial Committee of Privy Council , and work on several arbitration and pro bono cases. She has a very good understanding of case theory, courtroom strategy, and extensive expertise conducting legal research and providing legal advice. She speaks fluent English and French.
